About Me
Hi, I'm Nancy. I live in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan and I'm a Yooper. Here's me in Chicago in May 2010, because I couldn't find a decent recent picture of me in my native land.
You've probably never heard of the Keweenaw. We get lots of snow in the winter.
And lots of tourists in the summer. It's a great place to live, if you like the outdoors. If not, well you're pretty much screwed. Just kidding. A little.
I'm an avid, frequently injured, runner. I would love to be a avid, infrequently injured runner, but my body just doesn't seem want to let me achieve that goal. Maybe one day it will and until then, I'll just keep on plugging away.
I started this blog back in 2007 to document my training for a half marathon. It's sort of evolved beyond just a running journal and now I blab about all sorts of things - my cats, workouts, photography, travel, food - basically all the mundane happenings in my life.
You may notice that I frequently mention a feller named Josh.
He is also known as Joshie, Josher, Joshie Poo, and various other names which I shall not list here because I fear a slow and painful death. He's the person who fetches me from long runs because I'm too lazy to do an out-and-back. And he does yoga with me. Willingly. Perhaps I shall keep him.
I hope you enjoy reading about my exploits! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at nancy@feep.org. Oh yeah. Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on anything. This blog is about me and my opinions as they relate to my life. Oh, and don't steal my stuff, yo. Unless I give you permission.
